Taste the foods that Joost Springsteen, Bruce Springsteen's Dutch ancestor, would have been familiar with at historic Covenhoven House in Freehold. Recipes such as roasted duck with oranges, meatballs with currants, mixed greens, oliebollen, and butter cookies were enjoyed seasonally by the Dutch here in Monmouth County.

Indulge in an experience that takes you back in time with food prepared over an open hearth and savor the tastes of the past.

In honor of Bruce Springsteen's Dutch roots, harking back to the 17th century, up to 6 merrymakers can enjoy a Netherlands-inspired dinner at the Association's historic Covenhoven House in Freehold, prepared on the open hearth by costumed interpreters.
