MCHA Brick Fundraiser FAQs

Q: Is my donation tax deductible?

A: Yes, it is!

Q: How soon will my brick be installed?

A: Our project is just beginning, and we think it will be very successful! Once our goal has been met (approximately 50% of the available brick area), we can begin installation.

Q: What is the Springsteen: His Hometown Virtual Brick Message?

A: This is an opportunity for patrons of the exhibit and fans of Bruce Springsteen to dedicate a message digitally without purchasing a physical brick. The message will be publicly displayed on our His Hometown donor page for the duration of the website. Please note that we are not affiliated with Bruce Springsteen, nor can we forward the messages to him. But we are a part of his hometown, and the messages are a fun way to show your appreciation for the exhibit and the man himself!

Q: What can I write on my brick?

A: You can engrave anything you would like, as long as it is family-appropriate. Consider using symbols such as "&" to conserve space. MCHA reserves the right to deny any brick application which it determines to be inappropriate by virtue of the stated or implied message. No addresses, phone numbers or websites will be permitted on bricks.

Q: What if I want to change the text on my brick or upgrade to a larger size?

A: You can make changes on your brick up until we place the order with the brick company. Once that order is placed, it is final, but you are welcome to purchase an additional brick. If changes must be made to your brick, please email Dana at dhowell@monmouthhistory.org as soon as possible.

Q: Can I add to my donation on top of the brick purchase in one transaction?

A: Absolutely! We provide an area where an additional donation can be made.

Q: How will I find my brick once it is installed?

A: We think looking is half the fun, but if you have any trouble locating your brick, please let us know and we will be happy to help you find it!
