NOTES
This is a collection of deeds, wills, bonds, estate records, releases, receipts and other miscellaneous documents. The bulk of the material deals with Shrewsbury, New Jersey. Also metioned are Middletown, Township of Ocean, Eatontown, Atlanticville, Long Branch, Township of Lincoln, Keyport, West Long Branch, Mechanicsville, Township of Neptune, and Asbury Park.

PROVENANCE:  Accession # 1979.1.  Klein's relationship to the papers is unknown.  The Kleins lived in West Long Branch at 407 Monmouth Road, which once belonged to William Tallman (Beers Atlas 1873, plate 49) and later to T. W. Cooper (Wolverton Atlas 1889, plate 33).  It is believed that these items were found in the Klein's house.
