The History Collections of the MCHA Library & Archives include:

The Library of Congress has been digitally scanning books prized by historians, writers and genealogists as part of their mass project. Some of these books include important Monmouth County references such as Franklin Ellis's History of Monmouth County and Edwin Salter's A History of Monmouth and Ocean Counties. Princeton University's project to organize and scan all 16,000 sheets of its collection of Sanborn Company fire insurance maps of New Jersey has been completed. The starting point to the online maps is this Excel spreadsheet. Monmouth County begins on line #1083.
